Phurba Tamang was born in Kumbu 32 years ago. His family was so poor he started working at 11 years old as a bearer. During an expedition, he met a Frenchman who took care of him and brought him to France to study. When Phurba went back to Kumbu, he opened a Trekking agency. In this film, he talks about trekking on the Himalayan peak, Annapurna.
Jean Michel Ogier is 42 years old and has worked for a mountain magazine since 1990. He has also produced about 40 films about mountains: Le Mont Blanc cÌest dehors, Un th» dans la tormente, Deux Hommes la tÕte au bas, Retour a lÌAnnapurna, Hommes de bois (Val dÌAosta), Hommes de Marbre (Carrara).
