The main characters here are the mountain and the alpine guide, Bruno Detassis who, during his long life, has climbed the most beautiful and enthralling mountains. He not only wishes to reach the summit or record a great feat, but knows the mountain will give him a reason for his whole life.
Born in Piacenza, Francesco Paladino is a lawyer and a journalist. He studied filmaking with Marco Bellochio. He began making medium-length films such as Broadway Via Emilia (1996), Killer Gump (1998), Heartbiker (1998), and Cuori lontanissimi (1999). An avid musician, he works for A.T.R.O.X. musical projects, and has produced two CDs. He has also published several books.
