Hanuman, son of the wind and a monkey, is a legendary hero who still dominates the monkeysÌ town by the mountain. Tom is the son of a Scottish archaeologist. In a London museum, he finds a statue of the Monkey-God discovered years before by his father. So he decides to go back to India and oppose the traffickers ravaging Indian works of art. There he meets Ana, his first love, a woman who has been forced to marry a rich Indian man. Hated by the traffickers, Tom is the victim of an attack but is saved by Hanoi, a little macaque monkey, sent by the monkey tribeÌs chief.
DIRECTOR
Fred Fougea studied in France, India and the US. He produced the series Les signeurs des animaux, Le jouer de singes, Le seigneur des aigles, Il danse pour ses cormorans and Le cochon de Gaston for Canal+. Distributed in over one hundred countries, these series have been translated into thirty languages and have won several prizes at various festivals.
Jérôme-Cécil Auffret has co-operated many times with Fougea. He has made Le pÀre des chameaux, Le p»lican de Ramzan le rouge and Le prince des Sloughis, and won prizes such as the Emmy Award and the Genziana dÌargento in Trento.
