Maurice Herzog, Phu Tarkhay and Fran¡is de Noyelle repeat the extremely difficult ascent of the Himalayan peak, Annapurna. On the 3rd of June, 1950, Herzog and his fellow climber Lachenal reached the peak. They conquered the first mountain of 8000 metres but the conquest of this peak turned out to be tragic. They were caught in a storm and avoided death thanks only to their perseverance.
