Montagne & Aventure
Autrans, FranceDirector: Mireille Chiocca

A lively background, prestigious personalities, festival
supporters, fans of mountain, magic and spectacular images, are the hey to this Festival
that will have its 18th edition in 2001 and usually attracts more than 10,000
people.
The Festival, an excellent mix of television and film
personalities with those from mountaineering and exploring, is first of all the great
French mountain festivals. Set in a small village in the middle of Vercors Natural Park,
this event quickly won a place among the best. This is also because France is one of the
main producers of films and documentaries about adventure, ethnology and travel. Aside
from traditional sections, there is a full-length film competition and another for
commercial spots set in the mountains.
Unique in its category in France, the Festival has now
become a showcase for the professional market in this sector with the growing presence of
operators, producers and media representatives. The Festival continues in Grenoble, with a
week-long of screenings for the public.
