Eric Weinemayer's ambition has never been inhibited by
his blindness. After dedicating himself to rock climbing for many years, he decided to
embark on the most difficult challenge of his life: climbing Everest. Accompanied by a
very close team, Eric brought his emotional exploit to a conclusion. His ascent was filmed
by Michael Brown and Everest was filmed for the first time in high definition (HDTV).
DIRECTOR
Michael Brown is a director and cinematographer specialising in exploration and adventure
documentaries. He reached for this film for the forth time the Everest summit. His career
of exploration began many years ago and now Brown, at thirty-seven, can include
twenty-eight expeditions on five continents. His films have received numerous
international awards at various film festivals, among which include Taos, Banff and
Montreal. He has received the prestigious National Sports Emmy Award for best
cinematography and in 2004, he is competing in the same award for best director and best
cinematographer.
