On the French Alps, on the boundary between Oisans
and Matheysine, live two brothers, Charles and Edouard, who have never abandoned their
home land. The two shepherds live in an isolated farm, and have very little contact with
the outside world; the rhythm of their lives follows the slow passing of time and the
forever changing seasons. The documentary shows the daily activities of the two brothers,
drawing a minimalist portrait, made of little gestures that belong to a past that is by
now irremediable. Charles and Edouard tell their story with simplicity and a little
embarrassment.
