An American photographer accompanied by Glek, a Bon monk,
are searching for the ancient kingdom of Zhang Zhung, the birthplace of the religion Bon,
centuries before. Leaving from Kathmandu, the two skirt across the slopes of Mount Kailash
meeting shamans and some odd characters. These encounters create a better understanding of
the religion Bon, a religious denomination older than Buddhism.
