The last composite class in a small village on the
western Alps, invites Pirot, an eighty-year-old man born and raised in Ussolo, to talk
about his childhood in the 20s. The children, with the help of their teacher Luciana
Berardi, relive Pirot's life among his 10 siblings, a life that was extremely different to
that of today's generation. The project involved the local folk from Alta Valle Maira,
where they still talk in their provincial dialect, spoken throughout the valley and taught
at schools.
