In 1967, the TV serial I Promessi Sposi, directed by Sandro Bolchi starring Paola Pitagora and Nino Castelnuovo, was shot in the beautiful Parco delle Capanne of Marcarolo. A big production that became part of the Italian television history. Still today, the inhabitants remember that famous serial as an extraordinary event. Among tales and anecdotes, this documentary underlines the importance of Manzoni’s masterpiece for these wonderful places and people living there.
