AUSTRALIA, 2001, 26’, col., video
Director Gary Caganoff
Production Suzanne Davies

Warren Macdonald is a mountaneer who underwent an operation in which he had his two legs amputated after an accident at high altitude. The second step is a documentary inspired by his epic 28 - day journey to Federation Peak, in southwest Tasmania.
The Second Step is the profound story of one man's extraordinary courage and determination to take back control of his life.

DIRECTOR

The Second Step is his first documentary for television. Gary also spent five of those years initiating and organising the Wild Spaces Environmental Film Festival which last year screened in 18 locations around Australia on the same weekend, attracting an audience of over 10,000 people.
