“Chamonix, world capital of alpinism”. Behind this activity there is the other side of the coin: the accidents that are fatally linked to this world. Reporters often pay attention to super-trained men who are ready to risk their life in order to save others. All this is true, of course, but behind this “superhero” façade, there are real men with their doubts, their moods and their frailty while facing difficult situations.

DIRECTOR
Gilles Perret was born in 1968. His directing debut dates back to his 1994 Solitude Verticale a documentary for TF1. In 1998 he directed documentaries for Discovery Channel and other important TV channels. In 2000, Les vins de Savoie et du Jura and L’Alpe en Musique, a lyrical description of alpine music narrated by the musician Jean Marc Jacquier won many prices at different Film Festivals.
