Two
guides from Aosta Valley, Claudio Bastrentaz and Paolo Comune, found
the way to have an exciting adventure not far from their home. On June
28th they left from pont-Saint-Martin and travelled along their regions
border, through Monte Rosa, Cervino, Monte Bianco and Gran Paradiso.
Result: 55 days, of which 43 effectively spent at working and 12 days
of rest; 52,000m of overall gradient, 350km, 173 over-3000m peaks, 32
over4000m peaks, with a daily difficulty up to the V level.
DIRECTOR
Pietro Giglio was born in Villeneuve, Aosta Valley, in 1943. He is
an experienced journalist and was also general director of two mountain
magazines, Oasisand Rivista della Montagna. He worked
for TG3 and collaborated with RAI of Aosta and Trento. He was director
of photography and director of many films on alpinism, history and tourism
in Aosta Valley. Recently he directed the program Valle dAosta
a fil di cielo; at the moment he is director of the weekly program
Quimontagne. His works on alpinism, skiing and tourism were published
by various Italian publishing companies. He travelled along the Alps,
many Mediterranean Isles, Turkey, Iceland and Canada.
