Prizes will be awarded to those works, either feature films
or documentaries, made after 1999 in the media of film and video.
The competing works must deal with alpine adventure and exploration,
the natural environment, mountain culture or sports. The above-mentioned
works have to be sent to the Festival in the Betacam SP PAL
format or 16 or 35 mm print.

Competing works will be examined by an International Jury composed
of the director of one of the most important international mountain
film festivals and personalities from the cinema and mountain
community. The Jury will be coordinated by the management of
the Festival. Decisions of the Jury are unquestionable.

Films selected by the Jury will be awarded with the following
prizes: - First Prize and ¤ 3500 awarded to a movie selected
from a pool of international film festival award-winners. -
Two prizes of ¤ 2500 and 1500 each awarded to a movie chosen
from films that have participated to the aforementioned festivals.
Works competing for this prize don't need to be winners of previous
festivals. - One prize of ¤ 2000 awarded to a feature film.
-Further special prizes, provided to the jury by organizations
not involved with the Festival, will be distributed according
to the organizations' will.

The Award ceremony will take place on the last night of the
event. It will be open to the public and various representatives
of the film industry and the media.

Competitors agree to leave a Betacam copy of the film for the
Festival archive. Competitors also agree to allow the Festival
to screen the films for promotional and cultural reasons with
italian subtitles. Competitors also allow the television to
use a few minutes of their film for promotional reasons.

The showing of works entered into the contest (and of other
works) will occur in the order and program determined by the
direction of the Festival, whose decisions are unappealable.
Film-makers will be invited to introduce their movies on the
day of their public showing. Upon arrival, each competitor receives
a permanent admission card valid for two persons.

Applications enclosed with this set of rules must be correctly
filled in and sent to the marked address by 4/30/2002. Please,
enclose in the same envelope: -VHS PAL copy, summary of the
subject, brief CV and filmography of the director as well as
a minimum of 5 b/w or color prints or slides (one of them portraying
the filmaker). The Direction of the Festival reserves the right
to publish them free of charge. These documents are to become
property of the Festival.

Competing works must arrive at the Festival by 5/31/2002, enclosed
with: -Italian subtitles or 3 copies of the entire set of dialogues
in English, French or German in order to allow their simultaneous
translation into Italian or italian subtitles. -Director and
producer's address as well as a return address for all material.

Although we commit ourseleves to preserving and turning these
materials over to qualified persons, the direction refuses all
responsibility in case of loss or damage to the films. Therefore
it is suggested you insure your film.

Shipment of the material to the Festival is at the competitors'
expense.

Admission of the movies is subjected to all the norms and conditions
as provided in this set of rules.
