LA GRANDE TRAVERSÉE
THE BIG CROSSING
Thierry Robert, France, 2000, 52, col,
videoIn March 2000, Arnaud Tortel
and Rodolphe André launched themselves on an adventure which had seen many failures
before: crossing unaided the frozen ice cap at the North Pole.
100 days of endurance to cover the 1800 kms between Siberia
and the Canadian Arctic sea, an expedition full of risks across the moving and mysterious
world of the drifting ice.
Under extreme conditions, threatened by white bears, the
two young adventurers manage to emerge from the white hell only thanks to their incredibly
strong will power. |
