JURY MEMBERS
Henri Agresti (France) - Born in 1942 in Provence. Graduated in classical literature, he then specialised in anthropology and linguistics in Paris and San Diego. He has been a mountaineering guide since 1967 and for ten years Henri taught in the National School of Skiing and Mountaineering. His main films are: Wakhan (1968), La femme de Denali, Golden Gentian at Trento in 1977, Porte des cieux (1980) and Le sel et la roche (1995). He has also written many books.
Sara Cortellazzo (Italy) - Born in Padua. Since 1991 she has been Chairman of Aiace, Turin. Journalist and member of the National Trade Union of Cinema Critics. After having worked for some newspapers, she is co-director of the Garage magazine, published every four months. Sara has been editor of many publications and, since 2000, is co-director of Sottodiciotto Film Festival, curated by Aiace, Cittą di Torino, Torino Film Festival.
Lynn Hill (USA) - With over thirty victories to her credit since her debut in competition climbing in 1986, Lynn was the first person to dominate the game of competition. Amongst her titles: World Cup Champion (1990), five time winner of the prestigious "Rock Master Invitational" competition in Arco, Italy (1987-90 and 19929 and three time winner of the "Bercy-Ecco" Masters in Paris, France (1987-90).
Guido Novaria (Italy) - Professional journalist, Guido works in Turin at La Stampa in the Chronicle department, and deals with issues related to parks, environment and mountain, to name but a few. Novaria is founder and chairman of the Friends of the Gran Paradiso Association and is one of the creators of GranParadisofestival, which will have its first edition in summer 2001.
Pierre Simoni (Switzerland) - Born in 1932 in France. A journalist and producer of regional news programmes, in 1972 he created the first serial programme dedicated to mountain and climbing: Chronique Montagne. In July 1969, Pierre was involved in the founding of the Festival International du Film Alpin Des Diablerets (Switzerland), of which he became Vice President, President and, in 1981, Director.
